I studied photography, graphic design, and painting for two years at a small college in central Kentucky. I quickly became involved in the college newspaper, first as a photographer, and eventually as the photo editor, picking up awards in both the News and Features categories from the Kentucky Intercollegiate Press Association.

During my sophomore year, I was a founding member of the campus Art Guild - our mission was to welcome students of any major across campus to practice art making in a less formal setting (like hosting a Saturday morning art discussion and critique over pancakes in the art building).

The next year, I traveled to the sweltering city of Savannah to finish up my studies with a degree in metalsmithing and jewelry design at SCAD, and further developed my skills in design, painting, installation art, sculpture, and napping anywhere that was relatively quiet and flat.

These days, I find myself continuing to design, paint, build, sculpt, and nap as much as possible.
